Ok, I was a little too tired to rise this week. Maybe next week I'll have the energy. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty indeed.

On the plus side, R.E.M. raised my spirits tremendously on Thursday night with an inspired show at Madison Square Garden. It was a much-needed burst of rock and roll euphoria in a memorable rollercoaster week.
